Automotive Embedded Systems Presentation

X
Summary

Automotive embedded systems have taken a leap in engineering during recent years. The growing amount of digital information our cars compute in real-time is leading to extraordinarily new designs that rely on complex circuitry and calculation. Also referred to as a powertrain control module, an ECU's job as the main onboard computer in modern internal combustion engines is to ensure optimum engine output, efficiency, and safety in real-time. It accomplishes this using a multitude of sensors and actuators while subsequently offering the ability to connect necessary diagnostic devices to the vehicle. This presentation gives an overview of the electrical components in a modern vehicle.
